The emotional and physical fight by “Superman” Christopher Reeve to keep hope alive in his quest to find a cure for paralysis will continue to grow strong as Producer/ Director & star of the action thriller THE NINJA Rob Baard has announced that he intends to donate 10% of his personal producer’s profits from the films revenue to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.
As a boy Christopher Reeve inspired hope, a sense of faith that anything was possible and taught morals and a sense of right and wrong to an entire generation through his iconic portrayal of Superman.
Superman was created in the 1932 by two teenage boys Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster during a time of war and financial crisis to inspire hope to the people. These are the same themes that THE NINJA’s story deals with.
The Ninja is a character that rises in a time of global recession and deals with issues of homelessness and how the governing powers above & media can shape our perception. One of the major themes of the film is “Inner Strength” and that when we summon the will we can achieve the impossible.
The public will fully understand the relevance of Christopher Reeve and his legacy in our film once they’ve seen it.
“He was our hero & he gave us so much, now it’s time for us to be his hero & give a little back” – Rob Baard
THE NINJA film will also be dedicated to Christopher Reeve.
